About:
Loana Beeson has resided in Nevada County since 1960 when she and her husband Allan moved to Nevada County from the Bay Area. Loana graduated with a major in Fine Arts from UC Berkeley, and in 1958 received her Teaching credential, Art and Latin minors.
Loana has taught over her 60 years in residence. She taught Latin at Nevada Union High School from 1968-74. Several Years Later in 1978, she began 15 years as an instructor of painting and drawing for Sierra College - Grass Valley Extension. Now she's enjoying retirement and taking commissions, and designing posters and notecards.
